Television nowadays
If you are going to ask five distinctive people to make a definition of TV,you would perhaps gain ten various answers. For several people,TV is entertainment,for others TV is news. Others consider TV according to sport. For still others, TV is closed circuit systems used for internal communications and for many more television is home video and personal history.
Of course television ( Crisis communication ) is all these things and more.
But however you would answer or how it is produced and transmitted, all television has one thing in common:
It is used to communicate messages and ideas to a viewing audience.
In order to utilize it most effectively you will must study a lot of TV and video production competences. But also that you, as a narrator who creates knows how to communicate to the public.
It requires a group of people sensitive aesthetic and technical skills. Today, television has become a central part of this world culture. Most everyone has access to a TV.
Therefore the campaigns of advertiser have dramatically increased over the last 30 years. Also television ( Corporate communications ) is not only shown on your home TV set instead you can watch millions of videos, films, shows and programs in the world wide web.
The Internet gives you unlimited access to any kind of home entertainment. Businesses ( Publicity PR ) and organizations use the world wide web to screen their commercials, adverts, corporate videos online because they have recognized the potential it bears.
But also the average person is using online video by posting their home made videos on YouTube, Vimeo or other websites, (just to name a view). Nowadays’ century is all about visual content in any form,to any time and for each person. Nobody can escape the impact and power the 21th century ‘television’. Should we make a new definition of TV? What is it for YOU? What si it today? And he will be 10, 20 or 30 years from now? 3D movies and the orientation is at the door together, but we had many years ago.
