 The capability to print higher resolution pictures means you can print clearer pictures at larger dimension. Resolution means at what size your printout starts to get pixelated. Vivid color is also important to check the range of colors your printer is capable of. Colors stand out with wider spectra. Cartridge life and volume of printouts need to be considered as well. You also need to know what materials your printer can handle.
