Are You Aware Of This Mistake When Getting Testimonials

Lots of newer people to IM get something going and fall flat, and they never stop and wonder if their knowledge is good or they are doing things as well as they could.

How many people do you think have a hard time with client testimonials, and they do not execute it well? It is always a smart move to ask your self if there is any way you are not doing something as well as it can be accomplished.

It all begins with awareness about your self and what you do in your business, and that awareness can actually cause you to implement positive changes for the better. You can look at the most basic type of campaign and is is apparent there is much more going on than meets the untrained eye.

Your ability and willingness to test all you do in business is one thing that will give you leverage.

Potential customers see your testimonials and see people who are just like them who are happy with your product, and that serves to inspire trust in you. There are two important things to think about, what can you do to encourage people to offer a testimonial plus presenting them in the best way. What you are about to learn are several excellent methods to give you good testimonials.

The fact is, case studies are much harder to get than a typical testimonial, which makes them have a higher perceived value. A case study is nothing but an elaborate testimonial, with much more details added. In this situation, though, we want you to approach your customers because you want to document their experiences with your product. When you think about it, all you are doing is receiving very in-depth feedback about your product/service, and be sure to tell people to write everything. But what most businesses do is only talk about the good things, and also consider that very large companies use this approach quite often. You should have a fairly good idea about how well your product performs, and so all you need to do is contact your customers. Remember that you have to adhere to proper business etiquette, and that means not be completely direct about the process of acquiring any kind of testimonial. Think about placing calls to action on your site to send you comments, opinions and feedback of any kind. For instance, most of the ‘Contact Us’ pages are focused on providing sales support or dealing with regular customer complains/queries, however, this is actually a missed opportunity as you can easily ask for positive feedback from the happy customers on this page. Just be professional about how you word it and format the copy, but you have to use that approach anywhere on your site.

There’s no use confining your positive testimonials to an exclusive ‘Testimonials’ page; while there is nothing wrong in having a dedicated testimonials page, it’s important that you spread your testimonials across the pages of your website. Considering Google’s latest push for high content sites, then most likely you have more than just a single sales page because they are hard to promote as stand-alone sites; so make the most effective use of all of your testimonials and keep making the push to get more. Everybody wants more from their business such as profits, and testing and tracking is one of the surest ways to get more. The possibilities are almost endless when you consider fair trade clothing, and the degree to which you can optimize your business will probably blow you away if you do it. Not having any knowledge of what can be done with testing is not anyone’s fault, and so unfortunately a lot is being missed.

If you are working on your first website or marketing campaign, just stay cool, calm and proceed deliberately without getting in a huge hurry about it. You can set things up any way you want, and then just monitor what is happening and be prepared for what ever feedback occurs.
