Just Who Your Internet Site Links To Matters
The majority of you already know that when you want to get top search engine rankings, that there are many different things that are taken into account. I am certain you already know that you have to have your website targeted with certain keywords. You probably also know that developing links to your web page will also be able to help you increase your search engine rankings in addition to your pagerank. There is however one more factor that many individuals never take into account about their site and their ranking.
Even though no one knows exactly how Google’s algorithm works there are a few things that are known. Who you link to is one of the things that will make a difference on how well your web page ranks within the search engine results pages. Linking to particular websites that Google considers a bad site is a thing that is not going to allow you to rank your site well. Google sends crawlers to web pages all the time so when they realize that you have a link pointing to a web page that they consider is a undesirable site they may think that your web page is endorsing that web page. Now you will quickly realize that Google, having already banned the one Internet site may take your website and remove it from their results, or perhaps worse they might end up banning your website as well.
This can be something that can work in your favor also. I have actually tested this specific theory out many times on some of my websites. Each and every time I added a good link to an Internet site that Google likes, I discovered that in a brief amount of time my web page would receive better rankings. Sometimes this was pages and at times I would go from number 10 on page 1, to anywhere between 3 and 5 on page 1.
The easiest way to do this is to simply embed a link from a You Tube video right into your web page. By doing this not only are you establishing a link to You Tube a website that Google owns, but you are also adding video to your content which Google also loves. Also you can just include a link to Google directly, as I found that this strategy also helps. If you add these things to your Internet sites, within a week or so you ought to notice a boost in your search positions.
Once again, you also have to be cautious who you link to. Before swapping links with any website it is recommended to check on Google to find out if the web page that wants to trade links is listed in Google to begin with. If the web page is not indexed, there could be a reason, like Google removed them from there searches. Needless to say it’s not always the case, it may merely be a fresh web page that is just not indexed yet. But no matter what the actual reason they are not indexed, this is not going to be a link which will do you any good anyway, as Google is not going to even know about it.
